Meet the Team
Amber studied ballet at Tami Gees Studio of Dance and State of the Arts Dance Studio in Westminster, MD. She has attended summer intensives at the Boston Conservatory in Boston, MA; at the Orlando Ballet School in Orlando, FL; and at Next Generation Ballet in Tampa, FL. She has been teaching ballet to children ages 3-18 for 10 years, and served as the Artistic Director of Connect the Dots Dance Company for 7 years.
Melissa Lineburg began training at a local dance studio in Charles Town, WV, and continued her training under the direction of Joyce Morrison at the Frederick School of Classical Ballet. Melissa received a B.F.A. in Dance: Ballet from Radford University in 2011. She has been a company member with Connect the Dots Dance Company since 2014, and she also performs with Misako Ballet Company, Agora Dance, and Metropolitan Ballet Ensemble. Ms. Lineburg has danced at the John F. Kennedy Performing Arts Center accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra. Melissa is working towards a Masters Degree and works as a yoga instructor and is the Database Manager at Dance/USA in Washington, DC.
Marina was born in Kiev, Ukraine and started serious dance training with the Sudbrook Arts Center and Baltimore County Youth Ballet under the direction of Laura Dolid. She performed in The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sleeping Beauty, as well as Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco. Marina danced professionally for five seasons with the Howard County Ballet where she performed the roles of Snow Queen and Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Jewels in Sleeping Beauty, Glinda in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and the Nightingale in The Nightingale. She currently also dances with the Metropolitan Ballet Ensemble.
Maggie Doherty is from Frederick, Maryland where she began her training under the direction of Joyce Morrison at Frederick School of Classical Ballet. After graduating, she went on to further her dance education at Mercyhurst University where she received a B.F.A. in dance and early childhood/special education. While there, Maggie had the opportunity to dance works by Balanchine, Bournonville, Limon and more. She also attended summer intensives at ABT Collegiate Program and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. This is Maggie’s first year performing with Connect the Dots Dance Company.
Brynna is a versatile dancer across genres of ballet, pointe, modern, and jazz. She enjoys the true freedom of expression and the nonverbal communication that comes through dancing. Brynna is currently in the Washington D.C area dancing with Connect The Dots Dance Company, Jane Franklin Dance Company and ArasDance Company. Brynna was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she began dancing at the age of 3. Later Brynna studied dance at The Moving Company Dance Center and George Washington Carver Center for the Arts and Technology High School with a focus in dance. She then studied dance at Shenandoah Conservatory and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance with a Minor in Business Administration. She has also studied at Leon Summer Dance Intensive and American Dance Festival.
